I recently relayed an article containing two press releases from CONAIE
concerning the protest of the Huaorani people of Ecuador defending their
land against the building of roads by Maxus, ELF and Petrobras for the
purpose of oil exploration. At the conclusion of that message was the
text:

> CONAIE WOULD LIKE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH YOU! Or any person/organization
> interested in the struggle of the Ecuadorian Indigenous Peoples and
> related environmental issues.
>
> As we are just beginning to aquire our firts E-Mail contacts could you

There was no electronic mail address given for CONAIE, though. They did,
however, post another article later, in which they gave the two addresses:

ccc@conaie.ec
and
ccc%conaie@ecuanex.apc.org

I have sent a message to both of those addresses, advising CONAIE of the best
way of posting future announcements, and requesting a response, so that we
can confirm that the addresses do in fact work. I will report on any response
I receive.

I would like to point out that some mailers may not accept the second address
indicated above. Alternate forms of the address are:

conaie!ccc@ecuanex.apc.org
and
ecuanex.apc.org!conaie!ccc

If none of these addresses works for you, you can try:

ecuanex!conaie!ccc@igc.apc.org
or
igc.apc.org!ecuanex!conaie!ccc
