"prehistory" of New York State

Query: does anyone know anything about the prehistory of the Adirondacks,
specifically Keene and Keene Valley, NY? I have all the usual, wonderful sus
pects: John Kahionhes Fadden of the Six Nations Indian Museum in Onchiota, NY,
Peter Thomas of UVM, etc., but need personal specific information - we need a
network of avocational archaeologists!!!
