I was wondering if there was an official flag used by either the Montana
Lakota's or the South Dakota Lakota's? I remember in the book "Spotted Tail's
Folk" there was a mention of one used in a treaty council meeting created by
the reservation agent. I was wondering if any exist today or are use today as
a form of identification of tribe. Also, someone mentioned to me that AIM and
the United Indian Council had flags that represented them. Is this true? If
so how could I get any discription of them and/or an address to send a request
to?
Thanks again,
Steve
