The following are a few points that I would like to address regarding
this issue:

* Having worked with the League of Indigenous Soverign Nations from its
inception, I can assure you that there is no close connection between
LISN and MIM beyond an interview from which excerpts were taken for the
first article appeared in the net. I believe it is important for LISN to
dispell any idea that its principles are in any way tied to those of MIM.
Please do not associate LISN in any further reference to MIM.

* Hoping that the record is straight in the previous point, I believe that
we are all intelligent individuals capable of assimilating information
and forming our own opinions based on our principles. Censorship is wrong
regardless of where it comes from.

* Just like any other posting, its merit for distribution should be
dictated by the fact that it is related to indigenous people or not. In
the present case, the position of Shining Path with respect to indigenous
people in Peru is quite ambiguous. Atrocities are committed by both the
Army and the guerrillas, as I have learned recently from friends of mine
who suffered both ends of the violence. On the other hand it is likely
that a number of Indians support Shining Path. If MIM's postings can
clarify these issues for us, I don't see why this would be deleterious
information.
