Say, thanks for the update from the committee on Leonard. I
have been looking for that information. And where are all the three
e-mail addreses listed or in the message.... how do I get on their list...
Well, the Wounded Knee reunion is happening I think, as in
these matters it is difficult to tell what is coming from the folks up
north. Al Cooper here is in contact with them and it seems to be
going out over the grapevine mainly.
The plans as of last are to gather in Rapid City about the 25
the of Feb. and to have an event in WK on the 27th, the anniversary.
Cooper's phone number here is 505-247-8034 if anyone wants to
call him. I can be reached at 505-255-5462.
Since weather can be anything from balmy (really) to subartic
one has to be prepared there. One day in the rebellion we would be in
short sleeves and the next in parkas. We heated water in big pots and
bathed outside sometimes it was so warm.... I only took up my jungle
fatigues since it was warm weather down here when we left here and I stood
out on the snowy blizzard days. When on patrol those of us like me in jungles
would wear a sheet (torn at the head, not klan like, either) to blend
in with the snow. We would sneak up on the feds positions at
night...enough war stories
If I get more info I shall pass it along. But someone in
Rapid City is the best source. If you get more let me know. WE plan
to take several cars and vans up from here...going to Rapid City for
the WKLD/OC gathering first. It should be a good time and .....

[ I'm a bit confused about the message to which Bob refers here, since
I don't see any email addresses listed in the AIM article of 14 January.
The address of the California chapter of AIM is "aimca@igc.apc.org"
though. Clearly I've missed something here, since I also don't see
the name "Ben" associated with the earlier article. --Gary ]
