INDIGENOUS DEVELOPMENT NOW 93-1

Not tomorrow, not with more talk where nothing ever happens
and nothing is ever done.

Is there an American indigenous community wanting immediate practical help
and or professional assistance and or money with enough space for us to
bed down our delegates so that I may convene the USA's first
DO SOMETHING NOW-SHARE EXPERTISE-GIVE $$$ Indigenous people's conference.

INDIGENOUS DEVELOPMENT NOW CONFERENCE 93-1.

A new "action now" conference to benefit indigenous people with a
"hands on" difference for delegates who want to do more than talk.

I am personally fed up with attending international conferences where
they talk and talk and talk. I am looking for practical minded "do
something now" delegates to participate in this conference who have
had field experience or some particular skill or interest and who
are genuinely committed to assist indigenous people's conserve their
culture, economically sustain their communities and improve their
quality of life without taking anything from that communty or people.

ARE YOU F.R.U.S.T.R.A.T.E.D

F. ed up with going to conferences that talk but do nothing practical
R. ealise that even the best conference talk requires follow through
U. pset at conservation organisation hippocracy locating conferences
in places like Waikiki where total cultural pollution, room TV
pornography, disrespect for indigenous people prevail.
S. orry that you have left it this long to join a hands on initiative.
T. ired of Conference organisation with no socials for friendship making.
R. eady to do something now to improve one locations self sufficiency.
A. mazed to see indigenous communities not consulted as to what they want.
T. rim enough to cook your own breakfast at this "hands on field" conference.
E. mpty because you haven't found others who want to do more than talk.
D. ismayed at the lack of sharing of real experiences by indigenous people.

MARC AUSSIE-STONE is pioneering this "do now- talk- and share $" indigenous
development focused conference from July 23 to August 1 in an American
indigeneous community location having an immediate need.

If you know of such a community our conference delegates might help send the
details so that Marc may visit the location to confirm its suitability for
the Conference.

DO WITH OUR HANDS . If there is something we can do we'll do it.

TALK ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCES in indigenous development matters.
What businesses do we know work and what ones don't work.
Which consultants are properly useful and fully culturally respective.
Can politicians be better encouraged to support 100% indigenous developments.
What international conservation organsiations really help and contribute
What media and journalists can be relied upon.
What should indigenous development conferences discuss and do.

SHARE WITH OUR MONEY. Instead of pumping $1,000,000 into the Waikiki
culturally polluting hotel economy as was recently done by HII we will
give 50% of our delegates $500 participation fee directly to the host
indigineous community.

THE CONFERENCE WILL BE VIDEOTAPED by the Bluepecae Film team as was done
for the HII 3rd International Congress in Hawaii. This will provide a
marvellosu ongoing teaching resource and something that can be shared
with other active indigenous communities.

CONFERENCE COSTS. $500US to participate, $100 for the full conference video.
Accommodation and meals will be modest. Air faires as applicable.

Full Conference details will be posted out to interested delegates as
all details are finalised.

Input to mold the shape and content of this conference is invited.
There are three speakers confirmed thus far.
MARC AUSSIE-STONE Director of Fiji Project.
PECELI BOLAKORO Fijian Chief and Director of Pacific's first 100%
indigenous owned community cultural hotel and village reconstruction
project. Includes tropical agriculture and fishing development.
AN HAWAIIN COMMUNITY LEADER.
Other important indigenous development speakers are being approached from
India, Britain, Nepal and Australia.
Speaker suggestions are welcomed but they must be known to be good.

This conference is the forerunner of regular action teams that will
similarly assemble in indigenous communities seeking practical assistance
in their ongoiung struggle to conserve their people, culture, habitat and
environment.
