I am a student at the University of New Mexico, majoring in Journalism.
I don't have a Nativenet account so am using a friend's. I would like to know
if anyone out there has information or resources regarding Native journalists
and problems they have had with the 1st amendment, specifically freedom
of the press.I would also like information about any court cases involving
Native journalists and problems with freedom of the press, particularly
with tribal newspapers, or tribal governments.
I would appreciate any assistance anyone could give me. Thanks very much.
Please respond to Nativenet or Schwartz@bootes.ucc.edu. Carol Nez.
[ One possible resource is NAJA, the Native American Journalists' Association.
