A friend of mine, who is a traditional woman and spiritual leader at LCO (Lac
Courte Oreilles) res here in northern Wisconsin, started the Anishinaabe Way
which is Ojibwe for the original Way. The conference, which is now in its
eleventh year, has been designed to provide the participant with alternatives
to treatment, cultural awareness and sensitivity to Native American values and
customs. This unique design of emphasizing cultural ways, stressing
traditional values and demonstrating our innate sense of spirituality,
instills in participants a new perception of the Native American. Upon
completion of the conference, the participant will have a greater array of
skills and knowledge with which to assist the Native American in achieving a
better and greater length of sobriety. Traditions essential in the recovery
of the Native American Family focusing on "healing ourselves and others for
our children and our future."

She really needs a computer to help with Anishinaabe Way and the center at LCO,
but has no funds for one at this time. Does anyone have any suggestions on who
or what companies to contact for possible donations to a good NA cause??
