Position-- Secondary Education Faculty Position
Qualifications--Committment to excellence in teaching undergraduates
students; Ph.D. or Ed.D. required, preferably in teacher education or
a related field. Will consider candidate with dissertation in
progress. Specialization area should be foundations and supervision
of student teachers. Must have public school teaching experience
as well as experience in working with student teachers. Helpful
background--middle school, qualitative research, technology in education,
performance assessment, and outcome based education.
Rank and Salary--Assistant Professor with Ph.D./Ed.D completed.
Three year term appointment with a possibility of renewal or
conversion to tenure-eligibility. competitive salary commensurate
with qualifications and experience, TIAA/CREF and other benefits
available.
Responsibilities--teaching two sections each semester of foundations,
supervision of student teachers.
Position Available--August 1993
Contract Year--8 1/2 mont. Potential for summer teaching.
Calendar Year First Semester, late August-December; Second semester,
January-early May.
