The theme this year is on legislation and applied anthropology. The
keynote speaker is Dr. Muriel Crespi of the United States National Park
Service, Washington, DC.
Friday Workshops will be presented by Susan Scott-Stevens who will address
"Rapid Social Assessment", and Gordon Bronitsky on "Native American
Marketing Opportunities in Europe".
Special Sessions on education, health, new legislation, museums,
environment, immigration and many more current topics of interest.
Volunteered papers are also welcome.
Additional presenters will be Dr. John David Stephenson, attorney and
anthropologist who will speak on "Legislation and Applied Anthropology".
There will also be a presentation by Westview Press on "Publication in
Applied Anthropology", including a book exhibit.
As an added feature, free passes to the museum will be available to
conference attendees.
Conference fees are: $10, students; $15, members; $20, non-members and $20
