Information service on Native Issues?

Hi! I am a medical librarian serving outpost nurses doing courses in Nova
Scotia and then working in northern Canada. In the old issues of the White
Cloud Journal i came across a paper on an information service they ran in
the seventies - you could write in and define an information need and they
would search their data base. I have tried to contact the offices of
the current form of the journal American Indian Alaska Native Mental Health
Res, to see if such a service is still offered, but have not been
successful. Does anyone out there know of this ( or any other ) databases?
