Eleven known fatalities to date. Most of those affected are young and active
adults. None of the medical people have caught it from the patients who went
to the hospital. The disease is still an unknown but the symtoms can normally be
controlled with early treatment. Symtoms start like the flu, headaches,
coughing a bit, etc. A sudden turn for the worse occurs with major breathing
problems which will cause death if not treated fast.
No occurances outside of the four corners area have been reported yet. The
article I saw said that MOST of the sick people were Navajos, but did not
elaborate on anyone else who became ill.
