In a related article in the LA Times, a group of third graders that had
raised money to visit their Jewish penpals in at a private Los Angles
school were not allowed to visit the school. The children were Navajo
and were from Chinle, Arizona. I felt this was unnecessary, as there
have not been any cases reported in Chinle and all indications are that
the disease is not highly contagious.
I hope they figure out what it is soon.
