It may be of interest to some of you NativeNetters that I have recently
taken on the task of a SYSOP on the Diabetes Forum on Compuserve. I have
had diabetes myself for 13 years, and I am using the knowledge I have
acquired through management of my own case to help others with theirs.
The Diabetes Forum consists of a large message base, a library of over
1,000 files containing information about diabetes and hypoglycemia, all
free for the downloading, and real time conferences three times a week.
Our primary purposes are to educate and support those who have diabetes.
I am painfully aware of the prevalence of diabetes in the Native American
community, and I would like to help in any way that I can. I invite any of
you who have a Compuserve account to stop into the forum any time to chat
or acquire information. However, since I know many of you do not have access
to this service, I am making an offer here to help answer questions and
provide information through my own Internet account.
