I had meant to post the article on this from the _Buffalo News_, but never
got around to it. In it, however, the director of the NYS tax department
mentioned that the state might not appeal the decision, despite having
insisted earlier in the year that they would if they lost. (unanimous
decisions have that effect on my state's government; that's how SUNY's
graduate TA's etc. finally got to unionize this year)
