Good news: I was informed that Peltier's medicine bundle was NOT destroyed as
originally reported. The prison has returned it to him intact.
The bad news is that Peltier's most recent appeal was denied last week. His
lawyers intend to file yet another appeal with a different court, but hopes
are dim for any justice in the U.S. courts. It appears that Leonard's best
hope is for a presidential pardon (which seems unlikely to me.)
I am attempting to get the Leonard Peltier Defnese Committee to directly ship
me press releases and new items for posting on the networks. We'll see what
happens...
