Osiyo!

This is just a reminder that my FREE Cherokee font is still available from
suned.cs.yale.edu, as Cherokee.sit.hqx for the Mac (Truetype, Adobe Types
1 and 3 are all included), and Cherokee.zip for the IBM, NeXT, and other
similar computers (Adobe Type 1 and Windows Truetype among the versions
included). There is also a file Cherokee.Key.Map, describing the current
properietary keyboard mapping. The font is almost an exact replica
of the version used in "Beginning Cherokee" by Holmes and Smith.

I am currently in touch with Ecological Linguistics about a keyboard
handler for the MAC which will allow entering "tsalagi" for instance
and CWY will be displayed. If anyone would like to send me preferences
on a keyboard layout, I'd much appreiciate it. Additionally, I am working
towards complying with Unicode and Canadian standards. I hope that we all
can collaborate on this together.

P.S. The suned.cs.yale.edu server will be down the last week in July.
The files are in the /pub directory.

Please send any comments to my mail address below.
