Jordan,
The "point" is that we are a sovereign nation equal to the United
States. From that perspective, this document is our reassertion of that
fact. It is important for all nations to state their purposes and
reaffirm their solidarity- you can see it every day on CNN. Perhaps you
do not understand that when our people read this we feel the connection
with each other very strongly. All people must feel that to stay alive.
And we are quite alive, I assure you!

In addition, this document was a response to the third stealing of our
sacred Paha Sapa (Black Hills). Just thought it was important to add
this for anyone not sure about some of the references contained in the
Declaration. The fight is not over. If you want to know more about this
