Would anyone have any books to recommend on this topic? Any
comprehensive studies of the effects and history of the Indian Child
Welfare Act?

I am trying to do some writing on the subject and am astonished at how
little has been written about it by established Native American
scholars.

I am particularly interested in the custody case of a Rosebud Sioux
woman, Bernadine Broken Leg, that allegedly led to the writing of the
law by her attorney Bert Hirsch.
