Babbitt mentions Haskell on TV

Haskell Indian Nations University received national attention
Monday night when the US Secretary of the Interior called it a
well-respected school on the "Larry King Live" show, a Haskell
spokeswoman said. Since then, the phones have been ringing off
the hook.

"We've had a 100 calls in the last few days," Hannes Combest,
assistant for the president, said Wednesday.

Combest said a Wichita [Kansas] caller asked Bruce Babbitt
what he knew about Haskell.

"He said it was a very well-respected school and that is was
changing from a two-year vocational school to offering
baccalaureate degrees. I was shocked that he knew."
