Re: colors and the four directions

The variations in the colors for the directions are due to
the fact that Lakota holy people are first and foremost
guided by their individual visions. There is also the fact
that most will also remind people that humor is an important
part of the spiritual connection. I can think of nothing more
humorous (without being disrespectful to acadamia), than the
spirits watching the attempts at codefying the colors of the
directions, when the information is individually acquired.
The spirits work in strange ways. Perhaps the event will provide
an opportunity to enlighten concerning the appropriate use of
an eastern way as opposed to a codefied and dogma ridden western
religion.
It is through the inconsistency that we all gain a fuller
understanding of the Great Mystery.
