The people of the Stony Point band are soon marching on Canada's
capital. Many years ago their homes were removed from them and they
were shifted away from the land. This was because the army wanted
their land to build a base and train troops for WW II. The people
were told that they could move home when the base was no longer
needed. WW II ended long ago and there is little left of the
Canadian army, what remains needs none of the people's land. The
band, led by veterans and heroes from that very war, have returned
to their homes and have occupied their own lands again. The army
has harassed them and acted without honour or respect. The media
in Canada has been reticent to make much news of their struggle.
Please send your prayers healing to the people of Stony Point.
They are soon marching and only by the vigilance of the people can
we prevent the shameful treatment that has characterized
the Canadian government and its policies.
