[Radio Nederland-07Sep93-0030UTC] The Brazilian authorities have
issued warrants for the arrest of four gold miners suspected of
killing 18 Yanomami Indians. One of the suspects is the owner of
a gold mine and is alleged to have ordered the killings.

A joint Brazilian-Venezuelan border commission will determine
exactly where the massacre took place in the rugged Amazon rain
forest. Initially, it was thought the killings occurred on
Brazilian territory but the latest information points to Venezuela.
