Greetings! I am new to this conference, and have actually never
set foot in Canada before. But a network friend suggested checking
out this conference.

What has prompted me to write is a trip I am taking to the
southern Quebec & New Brunswick region in late September and
early October.

I am interested in a number of things, and look forward to hearing
the advice of any reading this....

* I wish to read about the history of the indigenous peoples of
this area. Is there any conference on the network that talks about
the history? I'd also like to know the present state of affairs
for the native people.

* I am interested in doing some mountain climbing/ camping/
nature revelling in this region. Does anyone have suggestions
of places to go?

Places to get healthy foods: I am generally vegetarian, although
I do eat fish at times (since my body seems to crave it occasionally).
Are there good markets or places to buy a meal? Simple yet yummy?

* Sites to see/ things to do in the region Quebec City?

I appreciate any comments or advice! Thanks!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Jordan (aceee@igc.apc.org)
