(Also in Sydey 6 & 7 November 93. at The Enmore Theatre
a two-day conference will be held with The Elders.
Dancers, Music, Costumes, Art Exhibit... and much more.)

1993 is the Year of the Indigenous People and we of the Four Winds
Foundation are honoured to host this important gathering of Native
peoples. Today's realities are being shaped by the myths and visions
of many indigenous teachings. The Mayan, Aztec, Hopi, Incan,
Tibetan, South Pacific Islander and Aboriginal legends all spoke of
the emergence of a "Fifth World," where man is again united and in
balance with the Earth. We are entering those times, emerging from a
world of separation; heart from mind, mother from child, man from
Earth, nation from nation; we are all realizing that we are at a
critical point in the history of mankind.

We invite you to participate in a gathering which will help shape
the future - our future and the future of All Our Relations who will
inherit the Earth in our footsteps.

It is expected that over 250 elders from all parts of the globe will
gather in Australia for this event. Its purpose is to:

< Work towards mental, physical, emotional and spiritual
healing, and the well-being of all so that inner peace will be
mirrored externally in our world.

< Bring us to remember our relationship with all people,
creatures and relatives of our Earth mother, and to help us realize
that by walking shoulder to shoulder we can make the changes needed
for the future survival of the next 7 generations.

< Allow the sharing of wisdom, knowledge and blessing between
elders of many nations and visitors, so that we may all embrace the
original teachings (EARTH LAW- 1st LAW) which are encoded in the
Biological and Genetic Memory of all humans and bring Respect and
Honour back to the elders of our nations.

THE HISTORY

The vision for Wolf Song world council of indigenous elders came
through Grandmother Twylah Nitsch, Seneca, who is Founder, President
and Elder of the Wolf Clan Teaching Lodge and the Seneca Indian
Historical Society. The Seneca Nation, as a member of the Iroquois
Confederacy, has worked for peaceful cooperation among nations for
hundreds of years. In fact, the Constitution of the United States
was modelled after and adopted from the Iroquois Confederacy.

The Iroquois have always held councils for peace. Grandmother Twylah
conceived this series of five councils as a forum for indigenous
elders to share teachings with people all over the world.

The symbol for the Iroquois Confederacy is the White Pine with roots
spreading to the four directions of the world and a tap root in
their centre going deep into the Earth. This is called the White
Roots of Peace.

A prophecy says when the roots encompass the Earth and the tap root
grows to meet them on the other side of the Earth, the world will
live again in peace, coming together under the shade of the White
Pine and bringing together the White Roots of Peace.

WOLF SONG I AND II

Grandmother Twylah held Wolf Song I in May 1991 on the Cattaraugus
Seneca Reservation in New York State. Three hundred people from 24
nations listened to 38 elders, whom Grandmother Twylah called "Peace
Elders", as they modelled world peace through humour and celebration.

Wolf Song II was held in West Point, Texas during May 1992.
Sixty-five elders from all over the world gathered with 1,000
participants to awaken peace and perpetuate the ancient traditions
so the teachings may live for seven generations into the future.

Wolf Song III is carrying the name Jinta Jungu
while walking in this land....

Out of respect for the indigenous people of Australia.

JINTA JUNGU - "Together As One"

This is the third international Council of Indigenous Elders coming
together to share wisdom and teachings for world peace.

The council will be hosted this year by the Four Winds Foundation in
Australia, and will be held in Ulladulla on the NSW South Coast from
October 27th - 31st.

The Peace Council will feature ceremony, stories and wisdom from
around the world. Not only will a foundation be laid for peace
around the world, but there will be a celebration of indigenous
culture through traditional dances, story telling and songs, and an
exhibition of Indigenous art and the sale of traditional crafts.
A Youth Program and a Childrens Program are also to be featured.

>From October 27th - 30th, the Peace Council will be open to
participants. We have a limited number of registrations available so
we ask that those attending be present for the 4 days. This is to
ensure that when the Sacred Fire is lit and the Medicine Doors of
the Four Winds are secured, each participant can receive the full
blessing of the Cycles of 4.

1 Day for the Physical;
1 Day for the Mental;
1 Day for the Emotional;
1 Day for the Spiritual.
This is to allow time for the whole person to be in balance.

THE FIFTH DAY, OCT. 31st IS A FESTIVAL in Celebration of ALL NATIONS
which is open to the public and all those attending the 4 day event.
We Thank You for your co-operation and understanding.

THE FOUR WINDS FOUNDATION

"From the Four Winds They are coming...
...They are walking shoulder to shoulder".

Jinta Jungu is the answer to the Wolf Song calling for the coming
together of the human family.

The great vision of the eagle is revealed in the reawakening of the
rainbow serpent who is the embodiment of the creative power of
mother nature. With this understanding we are recognising,
celebrating and honouring the ageless wisdom of the indigenous
traditions of the world.

The Four Winds Foundation is a non-profit cultural resource
organisation dedicated to uniting mankind through the awareness of
indigenous teachings and cultural heritage. It plans to establish a
permanent centre for traditional healing, native resources, art,
craft, seminars and indigenous cultural activity in Australia.
