Appropriation of Native Images for commercial purposes

Help needed! I am looking for scholarly type articles/books on the issue
of the appropriation of native culture/images by the popular culture,
especially for commercial purposes. I've got lots of information on specific
apporpriations (Crazy Horse beer, Native Barbie Doll, Dances with Wolves,
etc.) So, I'm not as interested in adding to my list of examples (unless
you have something really outrageous). What I'm really looking for is
some scholarly type commentary on the issue -- perhaps someone has written
something advancing an important way of looking at all this, and I just
don't know about it. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Send
