Northwest coast Natives?

Good day
I need information on northwest coast natives who have potlatches as part of
thier cultural practices. I am sick and tired of eurocentric economically
rational definitions of the potlatch, and horrible museum talks, scholarly
works, ( and I know this is but one of many) and would VERY much like to hear
from any folks from that part of the continent, or who know anything
realistic. Like what may really be happening, and how what has happened is
all distorted. etc...
