Thank you for the response we have had to the message sent a few
days ago regarding our video. We are pleased to say that the video has been
accepted for three film and video festivals in the San Fco Bay Area: Mill
Valley Film Festival, Film Arts Fn Festival and cineaccion Film Fest.
It was also just accepted for the Leipzig (Germany) Festival. We would be
glad to provide more information about the video, which is of special
interest to Latin American Studies, Women's Studies, Native American
Studies and Spanish.
The price mentioned in the first message was incorrect. Our university
and library price is 79.95 sale, and 35.00 rental. The video is part of
our effort to raise money for an hour-long 16mm film, ZAPOTECAS: WOMEN OF
THE ISTHMUS, which will look at the Isthmus Zapotecs, who are reputed to
have a "partnership society", one based on linking rather than ranking,
where women have dignity, strength and self-esteem.
