October 3, 1993 Shehim Supports Native Forest Protection: A presentation
of practical alternatives

The Festival of Shehim held at Byron Bay, October 1-3, 1993, united people
from all walks of life in celebration of spirit and unconditional love. At
a community forum entitled TLiving in UnityU a decision was made to invite
all people and groups concerned with practical world improvement, to come
together in support of:

% a World Peace Council of Indigenous Elders, Jinta Junga
(Together as One) presented by the Four Winds Foundation to be held in
Ulladulla, South Coast NSW, October 27-31,1993;

% presenting together with the Indigenous Elders, a range of positive
alternatives to the Earth-damaging practices still being pursued by
industry and permitted by governments;

% permanently protecting the "old growth" forests currently under
assault nearby at Coolangubra, New South Wales.

This is something for everyone. We hope that many responsible people and
organisations will see this as an opportunity to show our unity with the
Indigenous People in caring for Mother Earth. All are encouraged to bring
their expertise, special concerns and practical solution-proposals.

This will make possible a presentation of unity, clarity and vision to the
Australian public and government, which is so much needed now to transform
our socio-economic processes as we approach the new millennium.

A meeting/resting place is being sought at or near to the Four Winds
Gathering and our interface with this gathering is also being explored with
the organisers.

Please take personal responsibility for present and future generations and
copy and widely spread this information as quickly as possible.

Thank you!
