The Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael is sponsoring a series of Indian
Skills classes this fall, including Thalman and Thieler's Clamshell Beads
on Sept 12 (sorry) and Ane Rovetta's storytelling on Sunday Oct. 17. On
Sat. Oct. 16 Diana Almendariz will teach a class called Dance Feather Wands.
"Feather wands are carried by dancers to facilitate guidance by Spirit." In
this seminar, Diana will discuss the spiritual significance of feathers as
well as teaching the techniques to make your own feather wand. (Dancing
will not be a part of this class). Preregistration is required. $40.
