HR.6 Elementary and Secondary Education Amendments of 1993
Extends authorizations for the Indian Education Act, assistance to
assistance to local educational agencies, improvement of education
for Indian children, training for their teachers, fellowships for
Indian students, gifted and talented, and improvement of education
for adult Indians.

HR.21 Miscellaneous and Technical Medicare Amendments of 1993
(Sec. 247) Treats certain Indian health programs and facilities as
federally-qualified health centers.

HR.26 Reproductive Health Equity Act
Ammends the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (among others)
to provide that services related to abortion be made available to
the same extent as are other pregnancy-related services under
federally-funded programs.
Repeals provisions of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act requiring
submission of a resource allocation plan to the Congress by
December 17, 1981.

HR.834 BasiCare Health Access and Cost Control Act
Requires Commission and Advisore Board, established by this bill, to
submit plans for the long-term disposition of the Indian Health
Service program.

HR.1022 Comprehensive Services for Youth Act of 1993
Allows Special projects grants to include projects for Native American
youth.

HR.1097 Educational Excellence for All Students Act of 1993
Reserves a portion of State allotment formulas, based on the chapter
1 formula for aid to disadvantaged students, for Indian students.

HR.1133 Violence Against Women Act of 1993
Authorizes the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance to make
grants to reduce the rate of violent crimes against women to Indian
tribes, tribal organizations, or nongovernmental domestic violence
and sexual assault victim services programs on Indian reservations;
and to request and Federal agency, with or without reimbursement, to
use its authorities and resources to support such local efforts.
Authorize the director to make grants to eligible Indian tribes to
encourage arrest policies in domestic violence cases, including
mandatory arrest programs for protective order violations and
improving judicial handling of domestic violence cases.

HR.1164 Forest Biodiversity and Clearcutting Prohibition Act of 1993
Ammends the National Indian Forest Resources Management Act (+others)
to strengthen the protection of native biodiversity and to place
restraints upon clearcutting and certain other cutting practices.
