At the University of Kansas, Lawrence, Prof's. Michael Crawford and Allan
Hanson are researching this project from diametrically opposed
perspectives. Crawford, a biological anthropologist believes the project
to be perhaps the most important contemporary research effort and he is
directly involved in it; Hanson is examining the social and political
implications of the project.
