HR.1200 American Health Security Act of 1993 (Rep McDermott)
Specifies that nothing in this Act affects the eligibility of
Indians for benefits and services of the Indian Health Service.
HR.1749 Community Enhancement Act of 1993 (Rep Smith, C.)
Provides funds to states from the Land and Water Conservation Fund
Act of 1965 to assist with outdoor recreation areas. Treats Indian
Tribes and Alaskan Native Villages as one state.
HR.1804 Goals 2000: Educate America Act (Rep Kildee)
Provides financial assistance for Bureau of Indian Affairs schools.
HR.1958 Tax incentives for enterprise zones (Rep Clyburn)
Specifically EXCLUDES areas within Indian Reservations from
eligibility.
HR.1960 Training and investment incentives (Rep Rostenkowski)
Includes Indian Reservations as potential "empowerment zones" as
designated by the Secretary of the Interior.
HR.1961 Improve interstate enforcement of child support and parentage
court orders (Rep Kennelly)
(Secs. 216 and 217) Expresses the sense of the Congress that: (1)
children on Indian reservations be accorded the same right of support
currently afforded to off-reservation children; (2) State and tribal
governments should, to the greatest extent possible, ensure that
jurisdictional issues do not prevent any Indian child from receiving
the support to which the child is entitled; and (3) States should work
with community-based organizations with ties to underserved
populations to develop better methods to reach and work with such
populations to encourage the filing of more support orders.
(Sec. 216) Amends the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978 to require
Indian tribes to give full faith and credit to child support orders of
other Indian tribes, to the extent such entities already give full
faith and credit to the acts, records, and proceedings of the other
entity.
HR.2010 National Service Bill
Authorizes the Corporation for National Service (CNS) to make matching
grants available to Indian tribes (and others) for: (1) full- or
part-time national service programs, including summer programs; and
(2) subgrants for national service programs of other entities.
HR.2061 United States Health Service Act (Rep Dellums)
Repeals Federal law relating to hospitals, community hospitals, and
other health facilities for Indians. (?)
HR.2118 Supplemental appropriations for FY ending September 1993 (Rep Natcher)
Rescinds certain amounts available to the Office of Navajo and Hopi
Indian Relocation.
HR.2138 Medicare and Medicaid Budget Reconciliation Act (Rep Waxman)
(Sec. 5067) Provides for treatment of certain Indian health programs
and facilities as Federally-qualified health centers.
HR.2141 Ways and Means Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 (Rep Rostenkowski)
Aments SSA title IV part B (Child-Welfare Services) to require State
part B plans to contain a description of the specific measures
taken by the State to comply with the Indian Child Welfare Act.
(Sec.13257) Amends Federal law to exempt income of up to $2,000 per
year received by individual Indians that is derived from leases on
individually-owned trust or restricted Indian lands in determining
eligibility and benefit levels under AFDC (SSA title IV part A)
and SSI.
Ammendments to treat certain Indian health programs and facilities as
Federally-qualified health centers.
Includes Indian Reservations as potential "empowerment zones" as
designated by the Secretary of the Interior during calendar years
after 1993 and before 1996.
HR.2244 Second Supplemental Appropriations Act of 1993 (Rep Natcher)
Rescinds specified appropriations made to the Department of the
Interior for the Office of Navajo and Hopi Indian Relocation.
HR.2246 A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide tax
incentives to encourage development in certain border areas.

Amends the Internal Revenue Code to provide for the designation of one
border empowerment zone and five border enterprise communities:
(1) by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, in the case of
an urban area; (2) by the Secretary of Agriculture, in the case of
a rural area; and (3) the Secretary of the Interior for an Indian
reservation.
HR.2264 A bill to provide for reconciliation pursuant to section 7 of the
concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 1994. (Rep Sabo)
(Sec.3003) Amends the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance
Amendments Act of 1988 to include Indian housing programs within
certain Department of Housing and Urban Development programs.
(Sec. 13321) Provides for accelerated depreciation for property
on Indian reservations.
(Sec. 13322) Allows businesses an employment credit for a percentage
of qualified wages and health insurance costs of Indian employees.
Amends SSA title XVIII to treat as federally Qualified Health Centers
any outpatient health programs and facilities operated by a tribe or
tribal organization under the Indian Self-Determination Act or by an
urban Indian organization receiving certain funds under the Indian
Health Care Improvement Act.
(Sec. 13631) Amends SSA title XIX to treat certain Indian health care
providers and public housing health centers as federally-qualified
health centers for Medicaid purposes.
HR.2364 Jobs for the 1990's Act (Rep Williams)
Provides for Indian tribal school facilities projects for which the
Secretary of the Interior is to make specified funds under this Act
available upon application.
