(Rep Hoyer)
(Sec. 531) Transfers certain lands to the 19 Pueblo tribes of
New Mexico.
HR.2520 Department of Interior appropriations for 1994 (Rep Yates)
Makes appropriations for:
The Office of Navajo and Hopi Relocation
Indian Health Service for Indian health services and facilities
The Department of Education for the Office of Elementary and
Secondary Education for Indian education
The Institute of American Indian and Alaska Native Culture and Arts
Development
HR.2572 A bill to amend the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation,
and Liability Act of 1980 to establish citizens advisory boards for
Department of Energy defense nuclear facilities and to require the
Administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
to conduct public health and exposure assessments of such facilities.

Directs the Secretary of Energy and the ATSDR Administrator, to
develop a long-range strategy for ensuring the substantive involvement
of affected Indian tribes.
HR.2368 Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act of 1993 (Rep Maloney)
Declares that the Congress recognizes that the Blackfeet Nation
retains treaty rights in this area provided for in the 1896 treaty
with the Federal Government. Requires a review and other
considerations with respect to such area.
Withdraws the Badger-Two Medicine Wilderness Area from all forms of
entry, appropriation, or disposal under the mining laws and
disposition under the geothermal and mineral leasing laws.
Requires the Secretaries to assure nonexclusive access by native
people to Wilderness areas, National Park and Preserve Study areas,
Wildland Recovery areas, and Biological Corridors designated by this
Act by Native Americans for tranditional cultural and religious
purposes.
Requires the Forest Service to enter into cooperative management
agreements with the appropriate Indian tribes to assure protection of
religious, burial, and gathering sites, and to work cooperatively on
the management of all uses in the protected areas that affect Indian
lands and people.
Requires the Secretaries to give particular emphasis to the
preservation and protection of cultural resources located within the
areas.
HR.2662 Business Improvement Act of 1993 (Rep Richardson)
Requires compliance with the Buy Indian Act for Federal agencies
contracting with the SBA for the acquisition of goods or services
supplied by Indian tribes.
HR.2666 Community Development Banking and Financial Institutions Act of 1993
(Rep Gonzalez)
Establishes the Community Development Banking and Financial
Institutions Fund as a wholly-owned Government corporation to provide
financial and technical assistance and training to enable community
development financial instituitons to invest in low- and
moderate-income neighborhoods and Indian reservations. Prescribes
program parameters.
HR.2702 A bill to amend the District of Columbia Stadium Act of 1957 to
authorize the construction, maintenance, and operation of a new
stadium in the District of Columbia (Rep Faleomavaega)
Prohibits the District from allowing the new stadium to be used by
any person or organization exploiting any racial or ethnic group or
using nomencloture that includes a reference to real or alleged
physical characteristics of Native Americans or other groups of
human beings.

Limits the circumstances under which a person subject to the criminal
jurisdiction of an Indian tribal government may be executed under
this Act.
