Mike, I'm glad you got to meet Ken Hunt of Arrowhead Industries. You're
right, the ITN network is a great thing for Native Americans. Working
with him, here at CNS, it's been a pleasure to take part in their goals
and exciting to watch the explosion of interest taking place. I've listed
below some information for others about ITN.

Hello..... There is already on Internet, an exciting new area devoted
completely to Native Americans. On CNS Internet (a full service Internet
provider) in Colorado Springs, Co., the INTER-TRIBAL NETWORK has been
established. Founded by Kenneth Hunt (President/CEO of Arrowhead
Industries, a Native American minority company) the ultimate mission of
ITN is to connect electronically, the entire Native American nation.

Of Choctaw-Cherokee heritage, Mr. Hunt is experienced in Indian education
and has an impressive background in furthering Native American causes.
The ITN area on CNS has valuable information with more being added each
day and an entire section of grants (over 500 of them) available only to
Native Americans; money which goes unused every year because of lack of
communication.

Future goals of ITN are to provide online schooling for Indian children
housed on remote reservations, the promotion of BUY INDIAN with online
retail ordering, etc. Already, congress is taking an interest in this new
concept (Mr. Hunt has been nominated for a congressional committee
position) and the Archeological Dept. of the US Parks Department is going
online with them to begin a repatriation program, returning rare artifacts
back to the appropriate tribes! This is exciting and watching the rapid
growth of ITN is a joy.

Mr. Hunt believes the Native American Nation must become interconnected to
be brought up to date in the 21st century. Lack of communication among
the people has always been a problem and it's one he plans to solve and
put an end to.

ITN can be reached through EMail at ITN@cscns.com.
If your system supports gopher, you can reach our gopher server on CNS by
typing gopher cscns.com and you will find ITN and other gopher areas
there.

CNS has a national 800 number available for $8.00 per hour with a $10.00
monthly minimum and a one time 35.00 sign up fee. Local rates are 2.75
per hour. Customer service number is 719-592-1240 or 800-748-1200 if you
would like further information.

ITN is definitely worth checking out!
