Leroy Jackson is not the first American Indian environmental activist
to die under mysterious and outrageous circumstances near Chama, N.A.
Raymond Spang, Northern Cheyenne, died in 1982. His death was supposedly
also from a drug overdose. His half-brother who tried to investigate
the matter was told to back off or he would be the next. Like Mr. Jackson
it was highly unlikely that Raymond would have died from an "accidental
drug overdose." If you would like further details, I have a copy of his
autopsy and death report. Also, you may want to talk to his brother.
Peace.
