Human Genome Diversity Project?

Help! Please!
I am a research assistant for a professor here at McGill (she's
Margaret Lock, a medical anthropologist), and she is working on an
article on indigenous/aboriginal/native responses to the Human Genome
DIversity Project. This was a subject of much debate recently on
this list (in fact, that's how she became aware of the subject), so
I thought I'd ask here again for information. Does anyone out there
know of any published articles or newspaper stories or anything
about this, preferably from/about native peoples' viewpoints? I've
spent hours at the library, but can't find anything. I'm kicking
myself for giving her those printouts in the first place %-). Thanks
very much, Regina

Comments from NativeNet moderator, Gary Trujillo (gst@gnosys.svle.ma.us):

My apologies for holding on to this article for a few days before relaying
it. I had been hoping to dig up the very informative printed material
that someone in Canada sent me recently on just this subject. I'm sure
there is more information to be had on the subject. I'll send a couple
of pointers to Regina, and I'll post more information about the material
I have to this list once I find it.
