We are sad that you have been disheartened as we have by the resolution of
native title legislation.
We notice many ironies around us - the current SA Liberal Brown Government
promising prior to the election that all title to crown land presently
leased by shack owners will be handed over, encouraging them to meet certain
guidelines for the upkeep of that land and the dwellings.
In the same spirit of development the Shire of Pinnaroo is giving title of
suburban blocks to people willing to erect dwellings on that land. Site
work will be provided free of charge to people who will build within one
year of their acceptance.
This scheme is based on a similar one in WA.
We encourage private citizens to arrive at their own recognition of native
title regardless of the limited recognition given by the Australian
Government.
The spirit of native title as we had it explained to us by one tribal elder
prior to the resolution of this Act was "co-existence".
Ask ourselves "Why can't we share?"
If we really care, we should share and we should make it mean something!
We should share our title and we should talk to the local Aboriginal
population about how we can do this as individuals.

for a future we will all want to share! What do you think?....
