---Although I think Dr. Cambridge's dissertation is probably helpful to
the problem of AIDS among Indian people, I really think it's inappropriate
to liken it's origin to "Old World" diseases that impacted Indian people
on the arrival of outsiders. The analogy seems to promote the idea that AIDS
is not a human problem of everyone on this planet, but rather a result of
ousiders threatening only Indian people again. I think if this is the way
the dissertation will be presented its desired effect, and its importance
to ALL people will be lessened. You might want to think about rewording
the opening. Just an opinion of an Indian who feels that AIDS is one
thing we have IN COMMON WITH EVERYONE on our Mother Earth.
