I have not seen "Sun, Moon, and Feather" but it is one recommended by
VIDEO FORUM: A Videography for Libraries (800) 847-3671. Video Forum is a
joint venture between National Video Resources and the MacArthur Foundation
Library Video Project. I have been showing videos this semester on indigenous
peoples to all interested students, faculty, and staff on my campus and found
it always wise to preview every video, as well as get recommendations (as
Helen is doing).

The Video Forum catalog has the following abstract on "Sun, Moon,...":
"American sisters growing up in Brooklyn during the 1930s and 40s.
Lisa, Gloria and Muriel Miguel have been performing vignettes from their
family history for more than a decade as part of their Spiderwoman Theatre.
Humorous skits reenact, in hyperbooic newsreel fashion, the birth of the
youngest Miguel sibling and a daring discovery regarding male anatomy. Home
movies and reminiscences are combined to recapture holiday celebrations
and those bittersweet summers when the Miguels as well as aunts and uncles
would perform in an Indian medicine show to entertain white tourists. The
film concludes with poignant memories of a troubled father, a Cuna Indian
from Panama, who never quite adjusted to life in the United States."

Helen: I will directly send you my current list of videos and abstracts. (A few
months ago, I posted a list on native-l and I'm in the process of completing
a final one for posting.) After looking it over, or even if not, if you will
send me a note to give me an idea of what you're looking for, I may be able
to recommend a video or two that I have actually previewed. Good luck...
