I am conducting research for a project on the Zapatista
uprising in Chiapas Mexico. I recently came across information
that the peace talks have ended abruptly as a result of EZLN
accussing PRI members in the assisination of Louis Colosio.
The theory being that some PRI members, disturbed with the
civility in which President Salinas and Rep. Camacho have
conducted the peace, wish to create political and uncertainty
providing Mexico a reason to cease the peace talks and
escalate military action.
