An excellent book for you would be "The State of Native America: Genocide,
Colonization, and Resistance," edited by M. Annette Jaimes; pub. South End
Press, Boston; copyright 1992. Jaimes co-wrote an informative essay:
"American Indian Women: At the Center of Indigenous Resistance in
Contemporary North America." In the section, Native American Women and
Feminism, I think you will find the most accurate information I have found
yet on the subject of Indian women and ideas on feminism. I am sure that
after you read it you will want to reevaluate Paula Gunn Allen's work...
