- once again, the media is reporting those views which oppose the
TAA and which divide the community; there is no doubt that there is
division in the community, and there is also no doubt that there is
division in _every_ community, not just those which have been under
the extreme pressures - cultural, political and social - which the
native community in Temagami has been under for a century of two
- the media has repeatedly reported on views that the vote against
the offer was a vote against the TAA or against Gary Potts; they
have never questioned Ontario's actions, have never reported on the
broad support for the Teme Augama Anishnabai, have never provided
any analysis on the significance of the TAA's accomplishments or of
recent events in the definition and enactment of self-determination
and sovereignty of native people
