seen it mentioned in the NativeNet groups I belong to, so thought I'd send
it in. I got this information on a mailing from Lake Superior State
University, which hosts a bi-annual conference on Native American Values. If
you have questions about it, please contact the person listed below, not

ABORIGINAL PEOPLES' CONFERENCE

**Theme: Indigenous Learning**

Papers & Presentations requested specifically (but not solely) on the
following topics:

-treaties and land claims
-legal issues and strategies
-survival of native languages
-history, anthropology, archaeology
-indigenous philosophy
-indigenous art
-economic development
-education
-non-status issues
-literature
-science and technology
-cultural traditions

Selected papers, and abstracts of all presentations, will be published in
a collection of the Proceedings.

Submission guidelines: Submit abstracts for papers, or proposals for full

Proposals must include a 150-wd abstract of paper, title of presentation,
name and titles of author(s), biographical note (50wds max), special
requirements for presentation, and the name, address, telephone, fax
