I am highly interested in knowing more about Rolling Thunder. He has become
known to a broader group of people not only through the book by Doug Boyd
but also through an audio-cassette series produced by Pacifica Radio in Los
Angeles. In two recent messages over this LISTSERV, it has been alleged
that he is a "fake" associated with a group of "tuffs." What is the basis
for these charges? In what way is he considered to be a fraud? As a
medicine man? As a representative of his people? As an activist? Why has
Lyn Dearborn maligned him by reffering to him as "Rolling Blunder?" What is
the meaning of this? Are these charges justified? What actions or
associations of Rolling Thunder are the cause of this vilification? For the
sake of indigenous people and those learning about indigenous people, can
anyone speak up on this matter?

Anxiously,

Greg
