The American Friends Service Committee, a nonprofit Quaker

Job Summary: The Associate Regional Director works with the
Regional Director in a regional management team, sharing
responsibility for administrative functions, program development
and coordination, and committee support. Consultation, cooperative
problem-solving and consensus guide the team work style.
Responsibilities include supervision and evaluation of regional
programs, supervision of some staff, administration and
interpretation of programs. The Associate Regional Director works
closely with counterparts in other regions, and with National
program and administrative staff in carrying out the work of AFSC.
National and regional travel is required.
Demonstrated management, program development, organization,
budgetary and problem-solving skills are required, along with an
ability to communicate clearly and work enthusiastically in a
supportive way with a wide variety of programs, social issues and
people of differing backgrounds and approaches.
Salary range starts at $27K, depending on experience. Benefits
include health, life and disability insurances and annual leaves.
