"OUR PEOPLES VISION FIRST"

THE VISION

The vision of our people can find empowerment and reality through
a national forum in which the First Nation Leadership, the voice of

as an institution of our original nations and governments now and
for future generations.

* An Office of the National Chief respectful of the mandate and
consensual decisions of our collective leadership.

* People-driven healing journeys from abuse, family violence, and
suicide prevention.

* Community-driven strategies to alleviate all social conditions
of our people, including adequate housing and infrastructure.

* Inclusionary strategies respecting our Elders, Women and Youth.

* Reclamation of traditional jurisdictions founded on our sacred
relationship to the land, water, ice and air .

* Full recognition and implementation of our inherent right to our
own forms of government in the context of our Aboriginal and Treaty
Rights, as we understand them.

* Respect and celebration of our own treaties as nations.

* Economic self-sufficiency of First Nations through people
strategies enunciated by the community leadership.

* Resource and revenue sharing of land and resources as originally
intended by the Creator and our ancestors, including resolution of
outstanding Land Claims.

* Empowerment and security within our own systems of Justice and
