I need your help. I'm working on a booklet with several
representatives from other ethnic and racial groups on mentoring. We have
been able to find stories from some cultures that show the importance or
beginning of mentoring in that culture. The Greek story of Mentor being the
one most folks know about.

Does anyone know of an American Indian story that is either a good
example of mentoring or explains how a mentoring relationship was started. I
will of course give you credit for your assistance and contribution. I'm also
not adverse to doing some work in the library if you have the name of a book
or making a call if you know a someone that could tell me a story. By they
way I'm working on a "mentoring" bibliography that currently is busting 7
disks. The International Mentoring Association will offer it some time next
year.

---- Please distribute this request to any list you feel is appropriate ----

Thanks
