HELLO FOLKS: Aloha!
I have to leave the network for some weeks (I think!). All my disks (including
the backups) were stolen from the computer room of my department. Unfort-
unately, this includes all my work for the past three years and includes my
dissertation too. Since I don't have funding for the fourth year, my future
here (to finish the dissertation) is rather dim. Staying here at this time
of transition is difficult in terms of housing, fees, etc. So, I am going
to the Colorado River Indian Tribes and work for them for a month and then
perhaps return here to finish off (since a friend has graciously offered
his home to me after September). I will then be able to subscribe again to the
network. There is no e-mail on the tribal nation, unfortunately.
