We (David and Tonya) are Ethnobotany Undergrad. students at the Univ. of
Washington in Seattle (i.e. B.S. in Botany and a B.A. in Anthropology). We are
looking into the near future and seeing the difficult search for graduate
programs. If anyone knows of any, please let us know.
We are also currently working on an Ethnobotanical garden and
trail at the Daybreak Star Native American Cultural Arts Center in
Seattle, WA. The focus is on the uses of local plants by the Native
Americans of the Pacific Northwest. We are looking for info. and
Mythology. If anyone would like to help, we would greatly apreciate it
and would be more than happy to provide ackowledgements and thank yous
etc for any help.
Our goal in the project is to preserve this info for future
generations. We will be producing a book that includes Ethnobotany,
Plant Mythology and relevant endangered species.
Please let us know if you can help or if you are intersted in the
project in any way. Thank you.
